Bioscope – “Aashayein” | Episode 2#VoicesOfMotherEarth

Date: 24th April 2025

Guest Speaker: Mrs. Neha Dashora, PGT – Physics, Vidya Vihar Sr. Sec. School, Chittorgarh, Rajasthan

Moderated by: Ms. Anuradha Gupta, Founder, Prithvi Innovations

In this soul-touching and intellectually enriching Instagram LIVE session, we dove deep into the inspiring world of Mrs. Neha Dashora — a Physics educator who seamlessly blends science with sustainability, logic with love for nature, and academic excellence with grassroots action.

The session was meaningfully divided into 3 engaging segments:

  1. Part 1 – Her Journey, Contributions & Achievements

Mrs. Dashora took us on a journey from her early days of teaching to becoming a role model of Green Education in Rajasthan. She beautifully shared:

  • Her humble beginnings as a curious learner and how her passion for physics and nature shaped her outlook.

  • Her consistent focus on environmental integration into academics, turning her physics lab into a real-world observation point.

  • Recognition received for mentoring student-led sustainability initiatives, and her firm belief in “learning by doing.”

  • Part 2 – Her Vision for a Sustainable School & Climate-Ready Students

This segment highlighted her future roadmap:

  • Plans to introduce Climate Literacy Projects across all grades, using physics and scientific inquiry as core tools.

  • A dream to build a Green Resource Corner in school: a space where students can research climate science, energy use, and real-time data on pollution and UV radiation.

  • Advocating for student leadership in eco-action—where students become change-makers, not just participants.

  • Part 3 – The Heart-to-Heart Session 💬🌳

A refreshing, informal discussion revealed the human side of this inspiring educator:

  1. 🌿 What She Loves Most About Nature: “Its simplicity,” she smiled. From the sound of leaves to the warmth of sunlight—nature, in its truest form, inspires humility and curiosity.

  2. ♻️ Most Impactful Contribution:

    • A “Zero Food Waste Campaign” led by students, transforming leftover food into meaningful sharing and compost.

    • A scientific study on UV Radiation conducted by her students using basic instruments—making Physics come alive with purpose!

  3. 🧲 Why Physics?

    • Her fascination began with how simple laws govern complex phenomena—light, energy, gravity, and even sustainability! She wanted her students to see science not just in books, but in life.

  4. 👩‍🏫 Major Differences in Past vs. Present Students:

    • Then: Curious but constrained.

    • Now: Resourceful, tech-savvy, but often less connected to the real world. She advocates for balancing digital with environmental literacy.

  5. 🧘‍♀️ Her Free-Time Favourites:

    • Gardening, skywatching, and writing poetry inspired by nature’s wonders.

Conclusion – A Message to Remember

Mrs. Neha Dashora closed with a heartfelt reminder:“Sustainability begins not in policies but in people… and the best classroom is Nature herself.” 🌳

Her session left us energized, enlightened, and eager to learn more from educators who teach not just from books, but from the heart.
