Introduction
In February 2026, Prithvi Innovations proudly participated in and organized a series of impactful activities as part of The Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC) - the world’s largest citizen-science initiative dedicated to documenting bird diversity.
GBBC brings together bird enthusiasts, students, educators, scientists, and nature lovers from across the globe to observe, record, and celebrate birds while contributing valuable ecological data.
Through a thoughtfully curated mix of online workshops, on-ground bird walks, school engagement programs, and community outreach, Prithvi Innovations successfully mobilized students, teachers, institutions, and citizens in Lucknow & Motihari, Bihar and beyond, fostering awareness, curiosity, and conservation action for birds.

Looking Ahead:
World Sparrow Day – March 2026
As a continuation of our GBBC journey, Prithvi Innovations will celebrate World Sparrow Day in March 2026, with a special focus on Sparrow Monitoring, Awareness Drives, Nest Box Installations, and Community Engagement.
This initiative will deepen the momentum created during GBBC and spotlight the urgent need to protect urban bird species, especially the rapidly declining House Sparrow.
Conclusion: A Call to Action
GBBC 2026 reaffirmed our belief that every citizen can become a scientist and every observation can contribute to conservation. By simply watching birds, noting their presence, and sharing observations, we empower a global movement working toward biodiversity protection.
We invite schools, colleges, RWAs, families, and nature enthusiasts to join hands with Prithvi Innovations in building a greener, more compassionate world - one bird, one tree, and one action at a time.
