Because, let’s be honest, who doesn’t love a planet-friendly lifestyle when it seems to be in trend and the buzz word, and considered Super cool, though challenging at times?
It really makes us feel proud to share how these twelve ‘R’s are the inspiration behind so many of our Green initiatives and Eco Innovations, like the Prithvi's Guthli Bank, Sambhav - Sustainable Waste Management Program, Bjoomija -Our amazing Zero- Waste Green Livelihood Program & Green Celebrations & Nayi Dishayein ( Green Education & Green Digital Literacy), Be Foodwise & No Footprints program ( Annapoorna Rasoi- our Zero Hunger Program), Jal Yatra and many more.

Thanks to our President Dr. Rashmi Chaturvedi Ji for her constant encouragement and suport.
We motivate & inspire more than 2500 plus individuals every year to embrace these twelve ‘R’ s and say no or refuse extra, superfluous gifting & decoration options and glamorous plastic loaded, wasteful packaging, and help them with Zero Waste, Green Celebrations.
We redecided this dumping of mixed waste on a daily basis need to change and this gave birth to another amazing initiative Sambhav - our Sustainable Waste Management Series
So let us take you to a quick dive into our phenomenal twelve ‘R's as follows:
Respect
Explanation: Respect is the cornerstone of any sustainable initiative. It begins with acknowledging the intrinsic value of our environment and our precious five elements of Nature ( Jal, vayu, bhoomi, agni, aakaash) that define our core - internal and external
Implementation Tips:
- Treat nature as a Giver of Life & all goodness, our Nurturer, our Well Wisher, our Saviour, not as a resource.
- Educate others on the importance of respecting all ecosystems & the beautifully diverse variety of living beings around us - our rich biodiversity.
Real-World Example: Prithvi Innovations entire programs, day to day thoughts & actions are deeply embedded in our very strong, intricate and beautiful, neverending connection with Mother Earth and utmost respect we have for it and for all its beings.

So Respect is the first of our 12 ‘R’s.
Rethink
Explanation: Rethink encourages us to question our habits, daily decisions and every minute choices we make every second and consider their impact on the planet.
Implementation Tips:
- Reflect on your daily choices in terms of what you decide to consume, use, store and dispose.
- Opt for products with minimal environmental footprints.
**Real-World Example:
You will be surprised to know that just
these two ‘R’s inspired us to start our amazing Guthli Bank & Prithvi’s Guthli Club, which helped us rescue and replant more than 5000 plus seeds or guthlis of Mango, Papaya, Shareefa ( custard Apple) , Jamun, Neem, lemon, Amaltas, many more in the last 4 years and enabled us to improve the green cover ny 5000 plus fruit trees .
This helped us to fight Zero Hunger, as well as mitigate Climate Change and create Sustainable Cities & communities ( addressing so many SDGs ).

Besides this, through regular eco-workshops, eco- sessions on upcycling, Prithvi Innovations helps communities rethink about waste & superfluous consumption and irresponsible usage & disposal of resources by demonstrating the lifecycle of products, prompting more conscious consumption & production, usage, gifting, storabe & disposal.

##3 Redecide
Explanation: Redecide is about making conscious choices aligned with sustainability goals.
Implementation Tips:
- Choose a sustainable way of Living your daily life by being conscious of your water, energy, food, carbon footprints ( meaning how much in excess you consume water, energy, paper, food, space etc.. and is there a way out).
- Prioritize eco-friendly alternatives.
Real-World Example:
Join us various on ground and online campaigns encouraging consumers to redeclare allegiance to eco-friendly options, leading to approximately 20% increase in sustainable lifestyle practices.
We are happy to share that the moment we redecided that dumping of mixed waste on a daily basis needs to change our amazing green initiative, ‘Sambhav - our Sustainable Waste Management Program was born.
##4 Revive or Restore
Explanation: Reviving our good old cultural practices, which were deeply rooted in Sustainability, resource efficiency and circular economy is the need of the hour. Hence this R urges us all to go back to our roots and learn the interesting lessons of caring for our Planet and all it's being.
Restoring involves rehabilitating our ecosystems and resources.
Implementation Tips: Few real life examples of our work
- Participate in local garbage segregation & clean-up drives, join our Sambhav program
- Support reforestation projects.
Real-World Example: Prithvi Innovations has rescued more than 60000 kgs of garbage from going to Landfill and adding to the climate change crises. This is due to our community-powered waste segregation & restoration & reforestation efforts, restoring land and ecosystems & bringing back native flora and fauna.
##5 Repair
Explanation:
Another very strong R- which can save so much of our precious resources, both natural and manmade and reduce the amount of undue stress and exploitation of mother Earth. Due to our greed to over consume, the use and throw of culture, the culture of abundance and glamour we are increasing the burnout rate of Nature.
Repairing extends the life cycle of products, reduces waste and conserves precious resources, time, energy, money and promotes green livelihood too.
Let’s respect, rethink, redecide to revive our Repair culture.

- Learn basic repair skills.
- Support repair cafes and services.

## 6 Refuse
Explanation: Refuse is the practice of declining unnecessary items that contribute to waste.
Implementation Tips:
- Say no to single-use plastics.
- Refuse promotional items.
-Especially refuse extravagant and superfluous, glamor packaging and excessive gift wraps and single use plastic festivity and celebration decor .
Real-World Example: By encouraging local businesses to refuse non-recyclable packaging, Prithvi Innovations has helped reduce plastic waste to a great extent in participating communities.
