As part of our ongoing Earth Day celebrations and the 21 Days of Green, Prithvi Innovations proudly hosted a power-packed 4th Instagram LIVE session on 28th April 2025, Prithvi Innovations had the immense pleasure of hosting the brilliant and passionate Mr. Prashant Tripathi – Batrachologist, Herpetofauna Researcher, and Wildlife Biologist at Lucknow Zoo, in a truly eye-opening Instagram LIVE session.

🌿 A Note of Gratitude

We take this opportunity to gratefully acknowledge our global inspiration – Dr. Kerry Kriger and the organization SAVE THE FROGS!, whose tireless work in amphibian conservation has sparked a worldwide movement. We’re proud to have been a part of this initiative since 2019, along with our committed Green Schools, Colleges, and Partners, whose constant engagement fuels this mission forward.

1. Warm Reunion with Prithvi Innovations 💚 Mr. Tripathi expressed joy and gratitude for reconnecting with the Prithvi family, applauding our consistent efforts to raise awareness on lesser-known environmental topics and microfauna.

2. Fascinating Facts About Frogs 🐸 He shared vital insights into frog anatomy, behavior, and their role as ecological indicators—highlighting how frogs are both predator and prey, and crucial to ecosystem balance.

3. Roadkill Mortality – An Overlooked Threat 🚗⚠️ A serious concern raised was the high mortality of frogs due to roadkills, especially during breeding migrations. Mr. Tripathi emphasized the need for data-driven mitigation efforts.

4. The Invisible Crisis – Neglect of Microfauna 🕷️🐜 While megafauna often dominate conservation headlines, he reminded us that microfauna like frogs, snakes, and insects receive far less public empathy, despite being vital to biodiversity.

5. Amphibian Tunnels – A Hopeful Solution 🛤️ He suggested innovative

ideas like Amphibian Tunnels or Corridors under roads to provide safe passage during monsoon migrations—used successfully in countries like Germany and India’s NE regions.

6. Decline in Frog Populations – The Red Alarms 📉 With powerful data, Mr. Tripathi discussed the alarming decline in Anuran (frog and toad) species, citing causes such as pollution, habitat loss, pesticide use, and climate change.

7. Urban Frogs – Survivors in Concrete Jungles 🌆 He spoke about the adaptability of some frog species that now inhabit urban gardens, drains, and even rooftops—showing nature’s resilience in unexpected places.

8. Cosmopolitan Frogs at Lucknow Zoo 🏞️ Highlighting education through experience, he introduced the cosmopolitan frog species present at the Lucknow Zoo, which help raise awareness among children and families.

Conclusion: “We must remember, the tiny croak you hear in the monsoon is more than a sound — it’s a call to act.” 🐸🌧️ Let us amplify voices for the voiceless, and take one leap forward to protect our amphibian allies. A heartfelt thanks to Mr. Prashant Tripathi for an engaging and knowledge-rich session.

🐍🐸 Why This Session Mattered

At a time when the planet faces accelerating biodiversity loss, Mr. Tripathi’s session reminded us that even the smallest, quietest species have the loudest stories to tell and the greatest lessons to teach.

This special LIVE event didn’t just celebrate frogs; it celebrated our shared responsibility to act, to educate, and to protect the hidden heroes of our ecosystems. With heartfelt collaboration between conservationists, educators, and students, we believe we can restore respect and refuge for amphibians and reptiles alike.

👉 The frogs may be small, but their message is BIG — Save them to Save the Ecosystem!
