How to Wear a Mask Properly

Ideally our fabric mask should fit snugly but comfortably against the side of the face and be secured with ties or ear strings. 

It should cover your nose and go down your chin and a portion of your neck to provide complete protection.It should be easy to breathe through without any inconvenience.

But at the same time it should prevent you from catching the virus from people around you with cold & cough.And vice-versa it should protect them from your sneeze or cough.


How to Wash a Mask

Masks can be washed by hand or in a machine by using normal chemical free  laundry detergent. One may use chlorine or colour safe bleach for extra disinfection.

In case of sensitive skin, rinse the mask under the tap to wash off residual detergent.

After washing your mask, be sure to thoroughly wash your hands, too. Good quality cloth masks like our Bhoomija; Eco masks can be laundered and machine dried without

damage or change to shape.

Make sure to wash the mask before first use

Wash your hands frequently, especially if you’ve been in public spaces or coughed or sneezed into them. Use soap and water, scrubbing thoroughly for at least 20 seconds or use a hand sanitizer Be careful not to touch your eyes, nose, and mouth when removing the face covering.

The best part about Eco-friendly cloth mask is that is can be used multiple times, washed and upcycled once it's original life is over .

A word of caution: 

No mask guarantees complete protection, whether 2 ply or 3 ply.

So, it’s crucial to practice social distancing even when wearing a fabric mask.
