We, Prithvi Innovations & Lucknow Cancer Institute conducted SAMBHAV program today (International Women’s Day Celebrations) 8th March, from 3.00 pm to 4.00 pm, at Lucknow Cancer Institute, Jiamau, Lucknow in collaboration and with the support of Mrs. Nirmala Pant – Director Lucknow Cancer Institute (LCI) and Dr. Rashmi Chaturvedi, Sr. Consultant, Manas Diagnostics, The Pathology Wing of LCI at Lucknow Cancer Institute, Jiamau, Lucknow.
Dr. Nirmala Pant, Director, LCI gave the inaugural address and wishes everyone IWD, motivated her staff to attend to overall cleanliness on a regular basis. Dr. Rashmi Chaturvedi, Sr. Consultant welcomed all participants and shared enthusiastically the strong connection between our health, our environment and the strength of collective action. Ms. Anuradha, Founder of Prithvi Innovations conducted the workshop, energised everyone and congratulated all nurses attendants and doctors for the wonderful service to the Nation. Further she inspired them to care for the most beautiful and precious women or mother, i.e. Prithvi or mother Earth by practising small green actions and being ‘Champions of Change’, and take care of their health and the health of their immediate environment through our ‘WoW’ (Waste to Wealth) workshops under our program ‘SAMBHAV’.
She engaged everyone in an interesting activity on the theme for this year’s IWD, “Balance for Better”, to convey the message of gender equality, equity and the need for balance in our day to day life to create a better environment.
Dr. Mandira Sharma Pathologist and Dr. Nishi Srivastava, Radiation Oncologists along with other doctors, Sunita ji and Suraj from Prithvi’s team and more than 70 para medical staff, along with attendants and other staff participated in this workshop.
Besides awareness about Zero Waste Management & composting, also honoured few women staff who were committed, pro-active and self-driven by giving them an amazing Green kit, as special “Swachhta Samaan”, showing willingness to adopt and implement the composting model. The winners were Seema, Shahana Vyas, Urmila, Shikha, Neena Singh and others. Beautiful, green handcrafted paper weight, cloth bags and sapling etc. made by Prithvi’s team was given as token of thanks by Prithvi.
Prithvi’s ‘WOW’ (Waste to Wealth), workshop aims to salute the power of creation and helps to educate, engage, enable and empower women to become Green Heroes who believe in Zeroes, when it comes to Wastage of resources.
Today’s Sambhav program was very well received and left everyone charged and happy to commit for more green actions.
